What a mess huh? First day really working on my new project car. I knew I when I bought the car two weeks ago that I would need to re-wire everything, so this is not a surprise at all. Compared to newer cars, this is pretty simple. Of course, I have eyes like a bat, and hands to match, so there-in lies my challenge. Also, with a wedding in the rear-view mirror (figuratively - sorry for the pun) and Christmas around the corner, I won't be spending any real $$ on a full-rewire. Nope, I'm going to tackle this on my own.
You'll notice in one of the pictures below, the 2 "extra" gauges. I'm not sure...one is a nice vdo speedometer and the other a vdo fuel gauge. Neither is oem and i can't see that they were ever mounted in the car. I do believe they were because they were partially wired-in. Now, they sit proudly above my workbench.
I was able to find the Schematic below from a really useful site. I'll make a list of all the useful sites I've found later.
